Dr. Parth Dalal, a Pediatric Intensivist at Manipal Hospital, Kharadi, played a key role in saving the life of 21-month-old Anushree, who suffered critical head injuries from a fall. Upon arrival at the hospital, Anushree was unconscious and showed signs of severe brain trauma, including seizures. Dr. Dalal and his team immediately performed an emergency craniectomy to relieve intracranial pressure and removed a blood clot, stabilizing her condition. Anushree also underwent surgery for a fractured femur. After nine days in intensive care, she showed significant improvement, regaining consciousness and recognizing her parents. This life-saving treatment was made possible through the collaborative efforts of a multidisciplinary team of specialists.
